Jane Atkinson: Contemporary Lace

courses

The exciting opportunity of leading a lace holiday in France in September is one of a number of Continental trips in the pipeline this year, including several festivals and the possibility of taking a small group out to visit Jitka von Lindern in her new home in Spain in the autumn.  There are also three workshops in the UK.

You will find details of my general courses on this page.  I still remember vividly what it is like to have ideas in ones head but lack the strategies to turn them into lace, so I hope this makes me a sympathetic and encouraging teacher.  Largely self-taught, I have drawn on wide experience to simplify design approaches, foster individuality, encourage new directions and extend boundaries.  Classes may be planned to cover two hours, one day, a weekend, a week, combine two subjects or cover new areas by request.
